About Me

I’m Jiahao Huang, a Ph.D. candidate in Chemical Biology at MIT, working with Prof. Xiao Wang. My research sits at the intersection of computational biology, AI, and spatial genomics.

Research Focus

My work primarily involves:

  • Spatial Transcriptomics: Developing tools and pipelines for analyzing spatially resolved gene expression data
  • AI for Science: Applying machine learning and deep learning to biological problems
  • Production-grade Tooling: Building robust, reproducible computational workflows

Some of my key projects include:

  • Starfinder: An end-to-end analysis toolkit for spatial transcriptomics (Nature Protocols 2025)
  • RIBOmap: Spatially resolved single-cell translatomics (Science 2023)
  • STARmap PLUS: Integrative in-situ mapping of mouse brain (Nature Neuroscience 2023)
